Description
German glass product manufacturer Schott inaugurated its new production site in Lukácsháza, Western Hungary. The factory will create 120 new jobs.
The new plant will produce high-quality pre-fillable glass syringes (PFS). Until now, the company has produced such syringes only at its Switzerland plant. With the established of a new Hungarian site, the firm's total PFS productive capacity will double. With this expansion, the firm responds to the stable growth in demand for this type of drug storage and dosing solution.
The investment cost was €76 million. The government supported the development with a subsidy of about €9 million.
