German auto industry supplier Kirchhoff inaugurated its latest expansion which includes new production and logistics halls in Esztergom and Dorog, both in Central Transdanubia. Series production started in the second half of May in the new Dorog site and will begin in mid-2025 in Esztergom. The investment will create a total of 100 new jobs at the two locations.
The investment cost was about €50 million, nearly 5% of which was covered by a government subsidy.
Kirchhoff started its Hungarian operation 20 years ago with a small plant supplying parts to the Hungarian Suzuki plant. Now, the firm serves numerous international producers, with Suzuki, Mercedes and Volkswagen as the largest buyers. At the Esztergom site, the management plans further capacity expansion
