Description

Hermès, the French luxury fashion house, has announced plans to hire 280 new employees for its latest leather goods workshop at Louviers (Eure) in Normandy. The company will employ 260 leatherworkers, saddlers and other staff in roles including management, logistics and human resources.

This new facility will be an extension of the existing Louviers Ecole Hermès des savoir-faire, a dedicated school where Hermès trains artisans in the traditional craft of saddlery, which remains one of the brand's most esteemed sectors. The new workshop will benefit significantly from its proximity to the Louviers training school. This close relationship ensures that new hires will have immediate access to the expertise and resources necessary to master their craft.

Previously, in 2011, Hermès has recruited 600 new employees for its sites in Marsaz (Drôme) and Nautron (Dordogne) (Hermes 2011 - FR).
