Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
EDF, the French utilities group, will recruit 4,000 new vacancies in the year of 2024. In total, they will recruit almost 10,000 new employees, but only 40% of this hiring campaign will be directed to new vacancies, the rest are to replace already existing posts due to natural departure and in retirement. Also, for the same year, they are planning to hire 4,500 new study-works contracts and 5,000 internships. 2,600 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Previously, according to ERM Event's database, EDF has promoted other recruitment campaigns: in 2023, with 200 new jobs in their nuclear power plant in Gravelines EDF 2023 - FR, in 2013, with 2,000 new jobs EDF 2012 - FR and in 2012, with the hiring of 5,000 new employees EDF 2012 - FR.
Update 18/07/2024: the company has announced the recruitment of 2,600 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This is an opportunity for professionals to join the 26,000 employees already working in the region. The positions on offer cover a wide range of qualifications, and the profiles sought include engineers, operating staff, technicians and infrastructure architects.
