European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
AT&S, Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik Aktiengesellschaft has announced that it will cut 250 jobs in Austria.
Due to the recent economic situation, AT&S is planning to cut 1000 jobs in total at all its locations worldwide. The 250 Austrian job cuts will take place in Leoben and Fahring. AT&S CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer claims that the job cuts are necessary due to wage increases under the collective labour agreement. More information on this matter is expected in two months. At the same time, new skilled workers are being recruited for the site.
