European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Thales Alenia Space, an French-Italian joint venture between French technology company Thales Group and Italian Leonardo has announced job cuts in its Belgian division. Most of the 120 disimissals are expected to take place at the facility in Charleroi, where the aerospace division is placed. The job cuts are part of a large restructuring plan of the company management.
According to local trade union officials, strikes and actions are expected at the facility in Charleroi. Trade unions are planning the necessary information and consultation rounds.
