Description
Maersk North Europe Continent Area, a local subsidiary of Danish multinational A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S, has put a specialised cross-dock warehouse into use, creating approximately 200 new jobs.
The new cross-dock facility is meant to speed up some of the supply chain processes, where others in some cases lose days. The cross-dock facility is situated on the Maersk terminal at Maasvlakte 2, and contains a total area of 23,000 m², 120 docks and temporary storage space.
A large cold store is also being built at the same location, it will cover 40,000 m² with different temperature zones and is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2024.
