Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Suir Engineering, which is based in Waterford, will create 200 jobs in Ireland in 2024 as it enters a new phase of growth.
The company is now creating 200 new jobs to bring its total headcount from 1,500 to 1,700 by the end of 2024. Recruitment has already begun, with vacancies for electricians, engineers, and instrument technicians, among others.
In 2023, the company had a 41% turnover growth rate, based on turnover of €429m last year. Suir provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and high-voltage engineering services.
