Description

LM Wind Power Blades, a manufacturer of blades for wind turbines, will lay off 200 people from its Goleniów factory in Poland.

The redundancies are related to internal changes and steps being taken to transform LM Wind Power into a more profitable and optimised business within the GE Vernoca Group. One-quarter of the plant's 800 employees will be made redundant. The local labour office has been notified of the group redundancies, which will take place in the 30 days from the day of notification.

Goleniów wind turbine blade manufacturer LM Wind Power Blades has been operating in Poland since 2008. US conglomerate General Electric acquired LM Wind Power in 2017. GE Vernova announced its spin-off from GE in early March and will be listed as a separate company.
