Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Bartter S.A., a Polish energy company, has opened a new transhipment terminal in Sokolka, which employs 100 people.
The new investment is expected to result in more efficient distribution of goods coming from the East (China, Central Asia, Lithuania, Latvia) to the Western market. The newly opened transhipment terminal has created 100 jobs at this stage, with a transhipment hall to be built, eventually employing an additional 300 people.
Barter S.A. is a Polish company established in 1999. It distributes and sells gases (propane-butane, butane, n-butane, LNG) and mineral fertilisers.
