Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
De’Longhi Romania, the Romanian subsidiary of the Italian manufacturer of home electric appliances, announced it will create 400 new jobs by opening a new plant at Satu Mare (Satu Mare County). The new plant will be open in July 2024 after the group invested €40 million in the new facility.
By opening the Satu Mare plant, Romania will become the group's largest coffee machine production hub in the world.
Currently, De'Longhi has a workforce of 4,000 persons in Romania.
The Italian company entered the Romanian market in 2012. In 2013, it started producing espresso machines at Jucu plant (Cluj County).
