Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The British engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce has announced the creation of 100 new jobs at its site in Dahlewitz (Brandenburg).
The company has announced investments totalling around €32 million in its assembly, testing and service capacities in Dahlewitz in the district of Teltow-Fläming. Rolls-Royce intends to hire around 100 employees in the assembly area. The manufacturer wants to meet the growing long-term demand for new large civilian engines. Assembly and testing of new engines is set to begin in Dahlewitz in 2026.
Rolls-Royce is one of the world's most important manufacturers of aircraft engines. The company primarily builds engines for wide-body aircraft that are used on long-haul flights from continent to continent. The plant in Dahlewitz, Brandenburg, on the southern outskirts of Berlin, has been in operation for over 25 years.
