European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
GMB Produktion a company mainly building residental houses has been declared bankrupt and its 393 employees have been dismissed immediately. The company was struggling financially and a re-contruction effort was given up in march after trying to find new investors was not successful. The company was not able to pay salary to its employees and bankrupcy was declared. The company owns two factories in Fårvang and Kjellerup which the curator is now trying to sell of in order to secure funds for creditors.
Even before the bankruptcy the financial problems had led to the firing of 82 employees at GMB Produktion.
