Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Molex Group, a manufacturer in the electronics industry, will open a new plant in Katowice, Poland, where it will employ 350 people. Molex Group has announced plans to expand its manufacturing base for advanced medical devices and electric vehicle solutions - the new facility will house medical device assembly, packaging and spray moulding; the Katowice facility will complement the company's current operations in other European countries. Recruitment has started, with highly qualified production operators, engineers, designers and quality specialists to be recruited. The Molex Group belongs to the US company Koch Industries, and is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fibre optic connectivity systems. In Poland, the company has plants in Rokitki and Sulęcin.
