Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French aerospace and defense company Thales has announced that it will cut 1,300 jobs worldwide by the end of 2025.
So far, Thales has revealed that about 1,000 positions are expected to be cut in France. UPDATE 16/05/2024: Thales Alenia has announced job cuts at its sites in Belgium. The company plans to cut up to 120 positions THALES ALENIA-2024-BE. According to local trade union officials, strikes and actions are expected at the facility in Charleroi. Trade unions are planning the necessary information and consultation rounds.
