Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Infosys, an IT company, has announced intentions to implement group redundancies at its branch in Poznań, resulting in the termination of 192 positions. The company has not communicated the reasons for the redundancies. The entire Poznań branch of the company is to be closed. The intention to make redundancies was notified to the Poviat Employment Office; the redundancy process is expected to continue until the end of April; employees were notified of the redundancies on 19 February. The company provides outsourcing, consulting, IT and technology services. In Poland, the company has other branches in Łódź and Kraków, among others.
