Mobile phone company Three Ireland is to cut 150 jobs as it begins a collective redundancy process.
The company said it had previously introduced a range of measures in a bid to reduce operating costs, but the redundancy process is now necessary due to continuing lower profits and rising costs. The collective consultation process began in January of 2024.
The company is Ireland’s largest mobile provider, with 45.5% of market share. Three Ireland currently employs 1,300 workers based in its head office in Dublin as well as a centre in Limerick. At the latter, it had expanded its workforce in 2022 Three Ireland-2022-IE.
