Description
Tesla, a Czech company, manufacturer and supplier of special radio communication and security electrical engineering for military and commercial use, is to open a new plant in Braila (Braila County). The company will create 200 new jobs, with the prospect of tripled in the next years. The Tesla group entered in Romania in 2022 by creating the local company Tesla Energy Storage.
At the Braila plant, Tesla will produce electric energy storage batteries, systems for residential, commercial and industrial areas, including batteries for electric cars.
The investment in the manufacturing facility exceeds €91 million. In 2022, the company received a state aid of €40.8 million. The construction of the plant started in 2023 and the company is in the process of selecting the general director.
