Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
SoftServe, a Ukrainian technology company specialized in consultancy services and software development, announced plans to create 100 new positions by the end of 2024. The company intends to have more than 300 employees in Romania by the end of 2024. Its local growth strategy also envisions 800 employees in 3-5 years' time. The growth of the client portfolio has led to the need to hire new people.
SoftServe was established in Ukraine as a private company and has had offices all over the world. The company also has offices in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and in Crimea until the Russian invasion in 2014. Plans to expand into Romania began in 2021, before the start of the war. However, following the Russian aggression, the company relocated employees who were affected by the war. The war did not change its growth plans - it just accelerated them.
Currently, the company has offices Brasov (Brasov County), Iasi (Iasi County), Timisoara (Timis County), Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County) and Bucharest.
Globally, the company has a workforce of 10,000 employees, in Ukraine, Europe, Latin America and North America
