Description
Baltic Restaurants Estonia, a food provider for school canteens in Estonia, has announced a business expansion, creating 224 new jobs.
The increase in jobs is primarily related to the increased workload in the beginning of a new academic year. It is common in the company to have seasonal workers as the workload varies throughout the year. However, not only did the company hire extra workforce for existing canteens and restaurants, but in Tartu alone they are now providing food services in 15 extra branches which creates a lot of new permanent positions for new employees. According to the resource manager Kai Reigo, the number of employees will not decrease much when the school year has ended.
Baltic Restaurants Estonia is one of the biggest food providers for school canteens in Estonia. The company owns many smaller restaurants and canteens (like Daily and Subway) that offer daily meals for both schools and professionals. The company also provides services in Latvia. It is the leading catering enterprise in businesses, educational and state institutions in the Baltics.
