Footprint Poland, a manufacturer of cardboard boxes, will open a new factory in Piekary Slaskie, which will employ about 300 people in the next years, with 200 expected to be hired by 2024.The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Originally, plans were in place to build a logistics centre at the factory site currently under construction. However, late last year, a decision shift occurred, and the Hillwood logistics hall is now preparing to meet Footprint's production needs. The first recruitment of employees (about 100 people) is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024; by the end of next year, 200 people are expected to be hired. Partial production will begin in June 2024. Footprint Poland is a company with capital from the United States and is headquartered in Warsaw. It was founded in 2019 and operates in the corrugated and solid-fiber box manufacturing sector.
