Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Revolut, a UK-based neobank and financial technology company, has announced the creation of 120 new jobs by the end of 2023. Currently, the company intends to double its team in Romania, which should reach 240 employees. It plans to recruit local professionals for the technical teams (more than 40 positions for IT engineers and another 40 positions in human resources).
Globally, the company employs more than 7,500 people in 47 countries. Its largest centres, with more than 1,000 employees each, are located in Poland, Portugal and Spain. Although the employment footprint of the company is relatively small in Romania, the country is one of the most important markets in terms of the number of users. Revolut has more than 3 million customers in Romania, the second largest portfolio in its global market and the largest portfolio in the European Union.
