TAB Mežica, a producer of batteries for the industrial and automotive sectors, announced 100 new jobs due to production expansion in Prevalje.
The company already produces batteries in the plant bought from the pharmaceutical company Lek (a member of Sandoz group). In cooperation with Austrian company Rosendahl Nextrom or BM-Rosendahl, which will supply the assembly line for battery modules and packs, it will expand the production to 180,000 battery modules per year.
Tab Mežica produces starter batteries, industrial cells and rechargeable batteries at its plants in Črna na Koroškem and Žerjav, as well as in North Macedonia. It currently employs 644 workers.
