Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Deloitte, the large international auditing and consulting organisation, has opened a new office in Coimbra, creating a total of 300 new jobs. The 300 workers will be hired in the next two years.
The new office will support the provision of complex technological transformation and innovation services, with a specialised team in Low Code/No Code technologies, customer experience, systems design & engineering, data analytics, service management or process orchestration, among others. The business expansion is part of Deloitte's investment plan for Portugal.
This new Deloitte office in Coimbra is the third office located away from large urban centres. In total, Deloitte has eight offices in Portugal. It provides services to companies in Portugal, but also to clients in different international markets, namely the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, the Middle East and the Netherlands.
