Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Majorel, an international service company specialising in customer experience services, has announced an employment redundancy plan (ERE) in Spain affecting 223 employees.
The affected company’s workplaces are located in Barcelona, Madrid, Jerez de la Frontera, Salamanca and Zaragoza. According to Majorel, the internal restructuring plan is taking place in order to guarantee employment stability and business continuity.
Majorel has more than 82,000 team members worldwide and operates in 45 countries on five continents. In Spain, the company has a total of 8,000 employees, of which 2,8% are affected by this restructuring measure.
