Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Leroy Merlin, the hypermarket chain for the construction industry, will open a new shop in Poznań where it plans to hire 170 new employees. Recruitment for this new store in Poznań is already underway, with the shop scheduled to open in the first half of 2024. The new 'GIGAmarket' shop will become the largest service and retail facility in this part of Poznań, and will be located in the former Tesco shop building, which is currently being adapted to the needs of the new retailer. Employees are being sought for various roles, including designers, logisticians, customer advisors and cashiers. Leroy Merlin SA is a French hypermarket chain specializing in the construction industry, owned by Groupe Adeo, which has been operating in the Polish market for more than 27 years. Currently it has a workforce of 13,000 people across 78 outlets throughout the country.
