Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Bridor, the industrial bakery subsidiary of the Le Duff group, has announced plans to recruit around a hundred employees by 2024. The group has invested more than €20 million in an eighth production line at its Louverné site (53) to make Viennese pastries. This investment decision comes in the aftermath of the abandonment of their tenth plant construction project in Liffré (Ille-et-Vilaine).
70 jobs have been created by 2022, 80 by 2023 and around a hundred should be created next year. In all, the site employs 390 permanent staff and 150 temporary workers.
