UniQure, a biotechnology company working in the field of genomic medicine located in Amsterdam, North-Holland, has announced an internal restructuring plan. This will lead to a reduction of 114 jobs, roughly 20% of all positions.
The company is undergoing restructuring because it has ceased half of its research programmes, as a result of poor results from their most important projects. UniQure expects to save $180 million over the next three years with the cut in programmes and the implementation of the restructuring plan.
