Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French subsidiary of express delivery company Flink, which has been in receivership since June, has been taken over by the current director of the French subsidiary, Guillaume Luscan, the German parent company Flink and Algerian start-up Yassir. In the end, 270 of the 480 employees were taken on, thanks to an investment of more than €5 million by Yassir. 14 of the 19 existing sites have been retained. They provide express deliveries to Paris, Lyon, Lille, Marseille, Montpellier, Nice, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Nantes. The new management has a recovery and restructuring plan that should enable it to achieve profitability. The offering will be expanded, and new functions will be added to the application.
