Description
Onclusive, a company based Courbevoie and specialized in media monitoring and public relations, has announced that it is to cut 209 jobs out of a total workforce of 447, starting in January 2024. The employees affected are responsible in particular for compiling press articles and providing summaries to major economic players.
The restructuring is a response to the increased integration of artificial intelligence into the company's activities. Six months after the group's formation, the Critical Mentions software was introduced to support the work of the monitoring teams in identifying and summarizing press articles on specific topics for clients. The redundancies represent the second stage in the roll-out, where the software is to completely replace the employees in charge of this activity. The workforce reductions will take place between January and June 2024.
The management has committed to assisting affected employees in their search for a new job with the help of a consultant and to discussing the matter with the works council expert. Additionally, they have announced the creation of 23 new jobs as a result of this transformation, bringing the total number of net job cuts to 186.
Onclusive group was established in early 2022 through the merger of three companies in the sector. At that time, the company employed 1,100 workers.
Update 24/10/2023: Although it announced that it was cutting 217 of its 383 jobs to replace them with AI technological solutions, the company has suspended negotiations and will present a new version of its restructuring plan in December.
