Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on 18 September 2023, the Austrian light and semiconductor company AMS Osram will be creating approximately 400 new jobs in Regensburg.
AMS Osram secured about €300 million in funds provided by the Federal Government and Bavaria as part of the EU-initiative to strengthen the European chip industry. In turn, the company promised to create about 400 high-tech jobs in Regensburg. Jobs will be created in research and development as well as in production.
AMS Osram currently has 2,700 employees at its production site in Regensburg.
