European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Stampen Media, a Swedish media company operating daily newspaper along the West coast, is to lay off 100 employees. The dismissals will affect mainly the advertising department, although cuts will also extend across all divisions.
According to the CEO, the company is forced to cut costs due to a decline in the advertising market which has heavily impacted the company's revenue. However they will continuing investing in their digital product.
Stampen Media is a Swedish media group with around 1,500 employees in total.
