Description
Moelven Byggmodul is giving notice of redundancies for 100 workers, including 80 employees under collective agreements in Säffle, Värmland, and 20 office workers in other locations in Sweden. Most office workers are affected in Sandsjöfors, Nässjö.
The reason for the redundancies is reduced demand due to the current economic situation. A reduction in housing projects, high inflation and rising interest rates mean that the need for design resources and manufacturing personnel has decreased.
Cooperation negotiations with trade unions have started.
Moelven Byggmodul is a producer of industrially manufactured wooden building modules with around 500 employees in Sweden.
