Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Finnish passenger airline Finnair is recruiting a total of 100 employees with permanent contract for the cabin crew at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. In addition to the new hiring with permanent contract and additional 100 people will be hired on a fixed-term contract for the summer season 2024. New employees will receive a basic training course starting in December 2023 and then the first new employees will start working in the spring winter of 2024.
Last time the company recruited staff for the airport was before the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, 90 job cuts in Finland were recorded as part of the global restructuring measure. Finnair-2022-FI Globally, the company announced to lay off 200 employees. Finnair-2022-FI
