Description
News and entertainment broadcasting channel TV4 is set to implement a savings program that forsees the redundancy of about 100 employees. The first phase of the savings package starts in the beginning of October with 40 employees being laid off. The second phase is set to be implemented in October-December and affects 60 employees at the broadcasting company. The affected section is primarily the live desk at their news broadcasting editorial office.
Mathias Berg, CEO of TV4, states that this measure is done as part of their digital transition to put more focus onto their online streaming channel TV4Play, in an effort to meet a different market situation and new customer demands.
