Description
Studio moderna, an online retailer with outlets in Central and Eastern European countries, has declared bankruptcy and will lay off around 200 workers in Slovenia.
Studio moderna, known for its Dormeo, Delimano and Top Shop brands, has been in financial trouble for almost a year. The employees have not been paid salaries since July 2023. The owner, Sandi Češko, explained the company accumulated about €60 million in debt and was forced to file for bankruptcy. About 200 people will lose their jobs; however, the owner searches for a way to restart the business and reemploy some former employees.
