Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Hunton Fiber AS was established in 1889 in Gjøvik (Norway). The company currently has over 100 employees. Production and head offices are located in Gjøvik (Norway). Sales and marketing is located in Asker (Norway), while the company also operates sales offices in Sweden and Finland. Hunton is one of European leading producers of wood fiber boards with a production capacity of 145000 kbm, and delivers a wide range of products for the construction industry. Because of the use of high technology, robotics and automation in Norway, combining with experience and expertise, Hunton Fiber are moving their production from Poland back to Norway, says CEO Arne Jebsen. Hunton expects that this movement will provide 40-60 new jobs.
