Description
VanMoof, a Dutch e-bike manufacturer located in Amsterdam, announced that all 800 employees will lose their job as a result of the company's bankruptcy. All employees are reported to lose their job by direct dismissal. The employees will remain employed for another six weeks - if they wish - with their wages being guaranteed by the Employee Insurance Agency UWV. Now that the company has been declared bankrupt, the curators are looking for a candidate to take over the company or relaunch it.
VanMoof was founded in Amsterdam in 2009 and has sold about 200,000 e-bikes worldwide since then.
