Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
L'Oréal has announced the creation of 400 permanent jobs in 2023 in the fields of tech, data and digital. In June, half of the recruitments had been made, leaving 200 positions to be filled by the end of the year. The group is banking on technical innovations to develop not only new beauty products, but also digital solutions and tools. The new recruits will be working on technological solutions such as the Kérastase brand's 'K-SCAN' camera, which uses AI to diagnose the scalp, or the 'Meta Profiler' tool, which analyses the skin. The company is looking for data analysts, data scientists, cloud and data experts, web 3.0 engineers, cybersecurity experts, product owners and portfolio managers. Around half of the new recruits are recent graduates and the other half will be experienced profiles.
The Group forecasts a similar rate of recruitment in 2024.
