The French leather goods manufacturer Jean Rousseau has announced the opening of a new workshop near Troyes and the creation of 200 jobs at the site. Recruitment procedures are to begin in the summer of 2023, and will continue throughout the rest of the year and 2024. Training in the company's production methods will begin in October 2023. According to the Mayor of Troyes, the company was attracted by the traditional skills of local workers in working with soft materials similar to leather goods. This is the third production unit for the company, which also has plants in Pelousey, France, and Györ, Hungary.
