Description
The Air Liquide group's subsidiary, Air Liquide Santé France, which produces medical gas and respiratory equipment has announced a reorganisation of its activities that will lead to the loss of 430 jobs in France. According to management, the transformation of its "Santé à Domicile" activities is intended to 'meet the needs and expectations of patients and healthcare professionals and adapt its business model to meet the challenges of the healthcare system'. At a time when the population is ageing, the homecare model is not efficient, according to the group. The management wants to invest in providing more personalised responses to the needs of patients and professionals, at the best possible cost to the healthcare system. To achieve this, it wants to modify the organisation and simplify its portfolio of brands, and consolidate certain sites. In addition to job cuts, technological investments are also planned.
