Description
The German heat pump specialist Stiebel Eltron has announced the creation of 800 jobs at its main plant in Holzminden. The main units in which jobs are being created include manufacturing, workshops, and logisitcs. In the process, production capacity is to be quadrupled. The company cites the drastic increase in demand for heat pump heating systems as the reason, as a result Stiebel Eltron is investing €450 million and expanding its production area. By 2027, the number of jobs in heat pump production at the main plant in Holzminden is to increase from 400 at present to around 1,200.
The Stiebel Eltron Group employs 5,500 people worldwide with four national and four international production sites and an annual turnover of €1.1 billion in 2022.
Stiebel Eltron had already increased the number of employees at its German sites from around 1,000 to 3,200 in the last three years (Stiebel Eltron-2022-DE).
