Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
PepsiCo, a manufacturer and seller of soft drinks and food products, has ennounced an expansion plan, openning a new snack factory that will employ 450-600 people. The factory, which opened on 31 May, is the company's fifth and largest investment in Poland, the factory is expected to create an ecosystem for the investor and local farmers; production workers and people related to the factory's work will be employed.
PepsiCo is an American company established in 1965, whose products are available in more than 200 countries, currently employs 59,000 people; in Poland PepsiCo has been present since 1991 and has so far employed 3,200 people in four production plants.
