German chemical company Wacker Chemie announced the creation of 100 new jobs at its production site in Burghausen. The chemical company is significantly expanding production capacity for semiconductor polysilicon at its Burghausen site with an investment volume of more than €300 million. The expansion is expected to increase existing capacities by well over 50 percent from the beginning of 2025.
Wacker Chemie has 27 production sites on three continents and employs 15700 people with annual sales of €8.21 billion in 2022.
