The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The German airline Lufthansa has announced the creation of 8,000 jobs at various locations in Europe, of which 1,082 are currently advertised at various locations in Germany. At the various locations, the airline is primarily looking for skilled workers such as technicians, IT specialists, pilots and lawyers. The second Germany-wide recruitment campaign "flybig" will start on 15 May 2023 and should be completed by the end of the year. On 21 June 2023, 1,082 vacancies are advertised in the course of the recruitment campaign. The Lufthansa Group had cut nearly 40,000 jobs globally in the course of the Corona crisis and has already hired more than 6,000 new employees since the beginning of the year to cope with the increasing air traffic.
According to the annual report, around 112,400 people were employed by one of the Lufthansa companies at the end of March.
