European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swedish glass manufacturer Svenska Fönster AB gives notice of termination of employment to 190 workers located in Edsbyn and Söderhamn. Of these, 170 are employed in production, and 20 are working in-office. The background is a fall in demand in construction and real estate, due to the high inflation, rising interest rates, and instable geopolitical situation. The glass manufacturer is directly dependent on the construction sector, and several companies downstream in the construction sector value chain has seen a fall in demand for their products.
