Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt has completed the construction of a factory in Gdansk, with plans to employ 500 people (200 more than at present).
The 200 positions are currently being recruited for, including: engineers, accountants, automation technicians, quality inspectors, production operators and warehousemen.
The factory was built in the Stogi district of Gdansk, near the Port of Gdansk and the Baltic Hub deep-water terminal, and its establishment is linked to the manufacturer's plans to recycle batteries and use 50% recycled raw materials in 2030.
Northvolt AB is a Swedish design and manufacturing company specialising in lithium-ion battery technology for electric vehicles; the company was founded as SGF Energy in 2015.
