Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
US-based Genuine Parts Company, a distributor of automotive and industrial spare parts, has opened a Global Technology Centre (Globalne Centrum Technologiczne) in Krakow, Poland, where it will employ 200 engineers. The Krakow technology centre will focus on building cyber-security, sales and supply chain platforms, access to talent and high potential related to specialists were cited as reasons for choosing the location, with experts in digitisation, programming and cyber-security, among others, now sought after.
Genuine Parts Company (GPC) was founded in Atlanta in 1925, and is now has a global leader in the distribution of replacement automotive and industrial parts.
