Description
Blizzard, an Austrian Ski manufacturer in the city of Salzburg, has dismissed 80 employees since the beginning of the year due to internal resturcturing. Core workforce and temporary workers are equally affected. Turbulences following the Covid-19 pandemic are seen as the reasons, as new employees have been hired due to inital high demand, which has now declined. Due to Blizzard, many dissmissed employees found new jobs within the region and few of them were given suspension contracts and therefore have the possibility to come back again if there is more demand.
Blizzard was bought by the Italian Tecninca in 2006.
