Description
The construction company JM announces that 200 people will be laid off. The background is the forseen recession leading to a reduced demand of construction, and therefore the need to plan layoffs. JM is one of many construction and real estate companies that has been forced to reduce their workforce as a result of the forcasted recession. The increased interest rates are particularly noticable in the construction sector, which has long enjoyed a construction boom in Sweden. The higher interest rates are leading to a lower sales rate, and forces a lower volume of production in the entire sector.
